Terms and Conditions

iSolar Elec Pty Ltd – Solar & Battery Installation 

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all quotations, sales, and installations of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical works (“the System”) carried out by iSolar Elec Pty Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accepting our quotation and proceeding with installation, you (“the Customer”) agree to these T&Cs.

 

1. Before Installation

1.1 Quotations & Acceptance

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
  • Acceptance of the quotation must be in writing (email or signed document).
  • Changes in equipment, design, or site conditions may result in a variation to the quotation.

 

1.2 Approvals & Permissions

  • The Customer must ensure all necessary approvals (e.g., strata, council, landlord, heritage restrictions) are obtained prior to installation.
  • iSolar Elec will apply for grid connection approval on your behalf but cannot guarantee approval from your energy distributor.

 

1.3 Payment Terms

  • A deposit of 20% is required upon acceptance of the quotation.
  • The balance is due upon practical completion of the installation unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment must be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other approved methods.

 

1.4 Rebates & Incentives

  • Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and other rebates are applied as discounts if the Customer assigns them to iSolar Elec.
  • The Customer is responsible for eligibility under government incentive programs.

 

1.5 Site Access & Preparation

  • The Customer must provide safe, reasonable access to the property for site inspection and installation.
  • The roof and electrical infrastructure must be in suitable condition. If additional works are required (e.g., switchboard upgrades, roof repairs), extra charges may apply.

 

2. Installation

2.1 Scheduling

  • Installation dates are estimates and subject to weather, supply availability, and grid approval.
  • iSolar Elec will notify the Customer of any delays.

 

2.2 Installation Standards

  • All works will be carried out by licensed electricians in compliance with Australian Standards, CEC (Clean Energy Council) guidelines, and local regulations.

 

2.3 Ownership of Equipment

  • Ownership of the System remains with iSolar Elec until full payment is received.
  • iSolar Elec may remove the System if payment is not made in accordance with these T&Cs.

 

3. After Installation

3.1 Completion & Handover

  • Upon completion, iSolar Elec will provide necessary documentation, including compliance certificates, warranty information, and user manuals.
  • Grid connection approval may take additional time after physical installation.

 

3.2 Warranties

  • Workmanship Warranty: 10 years on installation workmanship.
  • Product Warranties: Manufacturer warranties apply to panels, inverters, and batteries (usually 5–30 years depending on the product).
  • Warranty claims must be lodged in writing. iSolar Elec will assist with manufacturer claims where applicable.

 

3.3 System Performance

  • Estimated energy production is based on modelling and may vary depending on weather, shading, and usage patterns.
  • iSolar Elec does not guarantee specific energy bill savings.

 

3.4 Maintenance

  • The Customer is responsible for maintaining the System, including cleaning panels and ensuring access remains safe.
  • Regular servicing by a licensed technician is recommended.

 

3.5 Liability

  • iSolar Elec is not liable for:
  • Losses caused by events outside our control (storms, hail, fire, theft, grid outages).
  • Changes in government rebates or electricity tariffs after contract acceptance.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or neglect.

 

3.6 Transfer of Ownership

  • If the property is sold, warranties remain with the System but may require notification to the manufacturer and/or iSolar Elec.

 

4. General

  • These T&Cs are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
  • Any disputes should first be raised in writing for resolution. If unresolved, matters may be referred to Fair Trading NSW or a relevant tribunal.
